Eight rooms. One hundred and forty-three years.

A historic lakefront inn on the eastern shore of Lake Minneola — remodeled with a Key West feel, and shaded by oaks older than most of the county.

The Inn

An escape from ordinary lodging.

Founded in 1882, the Lake Minneola Inn is a quaint, historic hotel on the eastern shore of the lake. Every room has been remodeled and renovated — the relaxed Key West palette is new, but the original architecture and many of the original fixtures stayed exactly where they were.

Stroll the property, find shade under the hundred-year-old oaks, and watch what is fairly reliably the best sunset in Lake County. Lunch and dinner are in the back yard at the Tiki Bar & Grill. Pontoon boats are at the dock.

We're 24 miles from Magic Kingdom and 27 from Universal — close enough for a day out, far enough that you can actually hear the water at night.

Fastest way: just call

The front desk knows which rooms have the view, what's quiet this weekend, and whether the boats are running. That's a two-minute phone call, not a form.

Front desk 9am–5pm daily.

Good to know

The honest version.

We'd rather tell you now than have you find out at 9pm. This is a historic inn, not a chain hotel — here's what that actually means.

Is there a lobby and front desk 24 hours?

No. The front desk is staffed 9am–5pm. After hours, the Tiki Bar staff can reach the innkeeper, and the bar is open till midnight. Call ahead if you're arriving late and we'll sort out your key.

Can I get ice after the Tiki Bar closes?

Ice is available at the Tiki Bar during service hours. There's also ice in the guest social area — ask at check-in and we'll point you to it.

Is there an iron and ironing board?

Not in the rooms. Ask the front desk and we'll bring one up.

Do the windows open?

In the historic rooms, most don't — the original frames stayed. Every room is individually temperature-controlled and has a ceiling fan, so you can set it however you like.

Are pets allowed?

Not in the guest rooms. Well-behaved dogs are welcome in the outdoor areas of the Tiki Bar.

How far is Disney and Universal?

About 24 miles to Magic Kingdom and 27 to Universal — roughly 40 to 50 minutes depending on I-4. Orlando International is about an hour.

Can I arrive by boat?

Yes. We're on the Clermont Chain of Lakes with dock space at the Tiki Bar. Call ahead on busy weekends.

Do you have a room for a meeting or small event?

We have a large conference room and lakefront lawn. Call the front desk at 352-394-0134 to talk through dates and headcount.
