Sort your boater card

If you were born on or after 1 January 1988, Florida requires an approved boater safety course. It takes an afternoon — details below.

Arrive and get briefed

Come to 508 S Main Ave. We handle the deposit, walk you through the boat, and point you at the chain.

Come back hungry

Tie up at the dock and walk twenty feet to the Tiki Bar. That's the whole reason the dock is where it is.

Florida law

The boater safety course, explained once.

The State of Florida requires anyone born on or after 1 January 1988 to complete an approved boater safety course before operating a vessel. If that's you, here are the three ways to be ready before your rental.

1 · Already have a card

A NASBLA-approved boater safety card from any other state works here. Bring it with you.

2 · Temporary certificate

Take the temporary rental course at boat-ed.com/floridarental. Valid 90 days. Around $6 for materials plus $3 for the test.

3 · Free full course Recommended

The free Florida course at boatus.org/florida takes about four hours and doesn't expire. Worth doing properly.

Covered boat slips with power station lifts, available to rent monthly. Subject to availability, contract required.

We also sell ethanol-free marine grade fuel — the stuff that doesn't quietly destroy an outboard over a winter of sitting.
